SO Many Reasons to Celebrate This Mother's Day!

It's no secret to most who know me that I dragged my feet when we first began the adoption process.  Actually,  that's putting it lightly...I dug my heels in and fought every step of the way with every ounce of strength I had.

I just plain did not want to do it.  I wanted to have a baby the "normal" way.  I wanted God to stop the madness and just let me get pregnant.

Well, as you know by now, God's plan that unfolded to bring us Miss Annie was better than any silly plan I could come up with.

It is truly a miracle how many things had to come together at just the right time for "T" to choose us to be Annie's parents.  The perfect set of circumstances.  And He orchestrated it all.

That alone is enough to give me goosebumps every time I think about it.

But, through Annie's adoption, He gave me so much more.  

One of the biggest blessings He gave me is the group of waiting moms I meet with every Monday night.  Talk about incredible.  These ladies are amazing...and it's likely I would've never met most of them had it not been for our adoption.

In addition to the relationships I've been blessed with, each one of these ladies has experienced or is waiting for her miracle...and I've gotten to see every one of them unfold before my eyes.  What a huge blessing and an honor to be a witness to these stories!

With Mother's Day approaching, I can't help but celebrate a few of these miracles that have unfolded in the past year.

Since Mother's Day 2011, five of my precious friends have become mothers and will be celebrating their FIRST Mother's Day this weekend!  Three more have added little ones to their families in the past year.

That's a miracle-rama (is that even a word?), people!!

Thanks to our gracious and loving Heavenly Father, I've been a witness to it all.
