Eight Months and Growing Before Our Eyes!

We have an eight month-old in our house now...and man, is it showing!  This sweet girl is doing new things every time I turn around!

In the past week alone, a ton of things have changed.  She's ditched rolling as her main method of transportation and started army crawling.  And even though it looks like hard work, she can get where she wants to go...and get there quickly, even if she finds herself all rolled up in a blanket!

Hopefully, she'll figure out soon that getting up on her knees is a lot easier than using her upper body to drag her flailing legs behind her.  She can also sit up by herself from a laying position.  I haven't seen her do it, but I've seen her on her stomach and then sitting up, so something is going on...I'm not even sure she's knows how she's doing it yet! ;)

She's also started cutting another tooth this week.  This time, it's the top right one.  I wish I had a pic, but she is super shy about showing off her toofers.  Teething has been much more difficult for her this time around.  She's had a low fever and just seemed like it hurt a lot more.  Poor baby.

Also this week, she took her first "big girl" bath.  I'm probably the only mother of an eight month-old who hasn't let her child transition from the baby tub to the big bath tub, but I wanted to be certain she could sit up on her own pretty well before I attempted it.  She didn't have trouble with the transition at all!  In fact, she LOVED it!

This is the best mohawk her hair would allow, but hey-we tried!

She loved having all of her toys around her and plenty of room to splash!

Spike was very concerned about the new bath method.  For a dog who doesn't like water, he sure acted like he was ready to jump in and save her!

Tonight, Annie gets to don her very first Halloween costume and go to Storybook Forest.  We tried the costume on her when we got it last week, so here's a little preview of the cuteness...

Oh...and I just ordered her a "big girl" car seat, so we'll be ditching the infant carrier for that in a couple of days.

My sweet Annie is growing up.  So fast.
