What a Week!

I can not even begin to express how awesome this week has been!

One of my sweet fellow waiting moms is waiting no more! Three months after they had a placement fall through, God, in his faithfulness, brought a daughter to my friend and her husband earlier this week.

I've been giddy ever since! When I heard the news, I'm pretty sure I screamed like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert! Because our Waiting Moms group has grown so close during these past few months, it's a celebration for us all. It feels so good to cry tears of joy for her.

Even though you may not know her, please say a special prayer for my friend, "B" and her husband. They have a couple of very important days coming up in the next week that will seal the deal for them. Please pray everything will go smoothly, so they can breathe in that yummy baby smell and RELAX-something they probably haven't gotten to do in months. Please pray that God will give them an extra measure of patience and comfort them as they wait for the final pieces to fall into place.

I'm telling you, THIS is just what my heart and soul needed this week! I feel so energized and completely ready to take the next step in our adoption process.

You see, this week also brought the completion of our home study, which is the final piece of paperwork we've been waiting for to activate our profile! Within the next week, I'm going to take the mound of paperwork and our Life Book (which should arrive soon) to the agency, so birth moms can start looking us over to determine if they want to choose us as their child's parents. Wow. WOW! I can hardly believe we're almost there!

God is good, my friends. All the time!
