So…we’ve had an interesting summer. And by interesting, I mean joyous, fun,
exciting, heart-breaking, gut-wrenching, faith-building and humbling.
More on that range of emotions later—for now, meet Maddux
Ray Madole!
He was born on June 17th at 11:00 p.m. weighing 8
lbs 12 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long. Keeping him under wraps for the past three months has been really difficult for this proud momma, {who just happens to be horrible at keeping secrets!} but we had to until his birth parents' rights were terminated.
He is a perfect fit for our family and we adore him! Annie is absolutely enamored by him. Sometimes in the car, I’ll look back to see
her staring lovingly at Maddux in his car seat.
It’s precious. She loves to fling
open the door to his room in the morning, flip on the light, run up to his crib
and say, “Good morning, buddy! How did
you sleep?” She’s a great helper (most
of the time) and has to know Maddux’s whereabouts every second of the day.
But the best part of welcoming Maddux into our family has
been the miracles we’ve seen God work right before our eyes. I can’t wait to share them…and I will in the
coming days.
